A Journey with Gratitude
Gratitude like the creative spirit has the abliity to change you. It gets you to tune in, to shift your thoughts and perceptions, to befriend and embrace life, regardless of what you are going through. This befriending helps you to diffuse the pain, the negative, the difficult. You begin to see things as they really are ... and that you are stronger than you think.
The practice of journaling with your gratitudes every day opens you up to grace. Grace is often used as a divine expression — for example, the grace of God. Grace is also an elegance of action, such as walking with grace. And it can mean that you are a part of something deep and powerful and sustaining. In this class, I encouraged gratitude writing using the simple exercise of writing down: Gratitude is ... Gratitude is ... until the words flow onto the page.
