Tiempo es Oro … Time is Gold

I am reminded through the beauty, grace and sincerity of each domestic violence victim I meet that time is gold … time is precious … time is now.  In today’s class at Haven House, one of the clients was bemoaning the fact that she let her children down, by staying with her abuser.

I suggested to “start where you are.  No judgment, only joy for the time you have now.”

It is the relentless chatter of the mind that keeps us from healing, from moving forward with our innate creativity and joy for Life.  There is no time to lose when you see how much suffering and pain there is in the world.  When you imagine your heart turning this pain and suffering into a glorious, healing white light, light that goes out into the world with compassion and love, you are contributing to what the Tibetan’s call an enlightened society.

A society less about Self, more about Others.

I am learning, constantly learning about compassion and kindness, which of course begins with one’s self.
