I would like to share a beautiful piece by MaryAnn Montanez, cancer survivor, who attends my Creativity classes at Huntington Memorial.  While we listened to harp and violin music, she wrote:

A Violin, A Harp

Musical Melodies respond to healing sounds in my soul.

Sounds reflect nature, sweeping winds, churning waters, 

Brooks and rocks and streams empty into the lakes

and gulf streams and rivers, until they become a part of mighty 

Oceans and splash upon the shores of  distant islands.

Action movement 

growth and blossom

age, decay, 

energy like a harp 

brings the sounds of nature 

thrilling your eardrums.
